Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a high-volume call center or answering service switchboard environment, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, patients, and families.
- Proficiency in utilizing the Windows Office Suite and basic Microsoft Word.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the first point of contact for the Facilities & Support Services division, handling all incoming calls.
- Create work orders and dispatch appropriate responses via radio.
- Monitor various alarm systems and make overhead announcements as needed.
- Document and log all telephone calls and alarms accurately.
- Dispatch emergency responses by following established procedures, including contacting 911 when necessary.
- Answer and process routine and emergency calls from department staff, providing accurate information.
- Maintain radio contact with crews on site and record information regarding the exact location of situations.
- Follow departmental rules and regulations regarding emergency calls and dispatch crews accordingly.
