REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within corporate or non-profit settings
• Strong knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and journal entries
• Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting
• Experience with payroll processing, tax experience, and government reporting is a plus
• Excellent understanding of accounts payable/receivable processes and account analysis techniques
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger accounting
• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
• Reconcile balance sheets and prepare financial reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Maintain detailed records of debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation
• Assist with payroll processing, tax preparation, and governmental accounting requirements
• Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, and other financial tools to record transactions and generate reports
• Conduct regular account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities in financial data
• Support budgeting activities by providing relevant financial information and analysis
• Write clear financial reports for management review and audit purposes
