Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, psychology, social work, marketing, or related field preferred
  • Experience in admissions, healthcare, behavioral health, substance use treatment, customer service, or sales preferred
  • Strong phone skills and ability to build rapport quickly
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with CRM or ERM systems preferred
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed

Preferred

  • Behavorial health or substance use disorder treatment admissions
  • Insurance verification and benefits review
  • Call center, healthcare sales, or customer service experience
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer inbound calls from potential clients, families, referral sources, and healthcare professionals
  • Conduct initial phone screenings and gather admission information
  • Explain program offerings, levels of care, and admission processes
  • Verify insurance benefits and collect necessary documentation
  • Coordinate with clinical, nursing, and operations teams to facilitate admissions
  • Maintain accurate records within the electronic health records and CRM systems
  • Follow up with prospective clients and referral sources
  • Assist with census growth and community outreach efforts as needed
  • Ensure all interactions are handled with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality
