REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in corporate accounting or bookkeeping roles with a strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and journal entries.
• Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms; familiarity with payroll management systems like ADP or Paychex is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account reconciliation and account analysis accurately.
• Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail; proficiency in 10-key typing is a plus.
• Ability to interpret financial data clearly and communicate findings effectively.
• Experience working in public accounting or non-profit accounting environments is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of tax regulations related to payroll and corporate taxes; familiarity with financial software such as Quicken or UltiPro is beneficial.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Manage payroll processing through systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro while ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify the integrity of financial data.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP and governmental accounting standards when applicable.
• Assist with budgeting, credit analysis, and financial forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
• Support internal controls compliance including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements and audit preparation processes.
