Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience in zoning, permitting, land use, municipal planning, or a closely related field (telecom or utilities experience is a plus but not required).
  • Familiarity with zoning applications, land use codes, or building/permitting processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; comfortable managing multiple jurisdictions and deadlines at the same time.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams and government agencies.
  • Ability to work approximately 15–20 hours per week on a remote basis, with occasional travel within the Southeast as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and interpret zoning ordinances, land use regulations, and permitting requirements for wireless infrastructure projects in assigned jurisdictions.
  • Prepare, submit, and track zoning and permitting applications, ensuring all required forms, drawings, and supporting documents are complete and accurate.
  • Communicate with city and county planning, zoning, and permitting staff to answer questions and respond to requests for additional information.
  • Coordinate with engineers and A&E vendors to obtain and review site plans, construction drawings, and other technical documents needed for submittals.
  • Maintain detailed records of applications, approvals, conditions, and fees, and keep internal trackers and status reports up to date.
  • Assist with preparation of materials for zoning hearings and community meetings as needed.
