REQUIREMENTS
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to work independently and as a team
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong data entry skills with high level of accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Proficient with computer, email and Microsoft Office products
- Ability to manage to due dates and follow up timelines
- Previous experience in customer or direct client support a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor & process all incoming submission emails – Create files, add data reports, import documents etc.
- Process Binders, Policies & other underwriting required documentation as necessary
- Daily follow-up communications with brokers for pending documentation/file status
- Monitor & process all incoming endorsement requests in a timely manner
- Responsible for all general underwriting file maintenance
- Assist with additional assignments as required from various departments within the underwriting divisions
- Assist with the training of new Underwriting Assistants
- Execute technical expertise throughout the policy acquisition and binding process
- Point of contact for urgent and time sensitive broker requests
- Audit and perform endorsement corrections where needed
- Review integrity of incoming and outgoing documents to ensure premium is quoted accurately
- Maintain strong relationships with brokers
- Perform tasks as assigned by leadership
