Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training and Development, Human Resources, Human Services, Organizational Development, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience as a Training Specialist, Training Coordinator, Corporate Trainer, Training Facilitator, or similar role preferred.
- Experience planning, coordinating, and facilitating multiple employee or corporate training programs.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and web-based training platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Experience with e-learning platforms and virtual training technologies preferred.
- Current or ability to obtain instructor certifications in First Aid/CPR, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), and other agency-designated training programs preferred.
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Driving record that meets the agency’s motor vehicle insurance eligibility requirements.
- Current automobile liability insurance and access to a reliable personal vehicle for business travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate instructor-led and virtual employee training programs.
- Deliver agency-required training, including First Aid/CPR, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), Electronic Health Record (EHR/Welligent), new employee orientation, and other designated courses.
- Coordinate all aspects of training logistics, including scheduling, registration, materials, classroom setup, equipment, and participant communication.
- Utilize adult learning principles and engaging instructional techniques to enhance employee learning and retention.
- Maintain accurate employee training records in the Relias Learning Management System (LMS).
- Upload training certificates, verify completion of internal and external courses, and ensure documentation is current.
- Generate quarterly compliance reports, annual training summaries, and other training metrics for leadership.
- Audit employee training records to ensure compliance with agency policies, licensing standards, accreditation requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor mandatory training completion and communicate compliance status with supervisors and leadership.
- Collaborate with department leaders to assess organizational training needs and recommend learning solutions.
- Assist with the development, revision, and continuous improvement of training curriculum and educational materials.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through participant feedback, assessments, and performance outcomes.
- Maintain current instructor certifications and remain knowledgeable of best practices in adult learning and workforce development.
- Travel regularly to agency locations to provide onsite training and support.
