Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience in relevant field
  • 3+ years of experience in program coordination or a related field
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks, projects, and people simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving, program development, and operational excellence
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Must be available occasionally on Saturdays
  • Knowledge of program evaluation and budget management
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ideally with exposure to educational, community, or youth programs
  • Familiarity with sports programs, educational system and community outreach
  • Passion for working with youth and making a positive impact in the community
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software (Asana and Ninety), and HRIS/scheduling tools (Paycor, Deputy, or equivalent)
  • Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment – ideally in youth development, education, community programs, or sports/enrichment
  • Passion for youth development and a deep commitment to HPA’s mission to serve 100,000 youth by 2030
  • Must be available occasionally on Saturdays and able to travel locally; valid driver’s license required

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Lead & Develop Teams: Recruit, onboard, coach, evaluate, and support program staff while fostering accountability, professional growth, and a positive team culture.
  • Oversee Daily Operations: Manage staffing, scheduling, attendance, timesheets, program logistics, and site operations to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Deliver High-Quality Programs: Ensure Programs, Camps, and Leagues consistently meet HPA’s standards for safety, quality, engagement, and youth development.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Monitor program performance, track KPIs, manage budgets, analyze operational data, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Build Strong Partnerships: Serve as the primary liaison for school partners, families, and community stakeholders while supporting recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Improve Systems & Processes: Contribute to documenting and refining operational procedures, best practices, and scalable systems that strengthen program consistency across regions.
  • Champion HPA Culture: Lead with integrity, accountability, and compassion while promoting HPA’s core values, supporting employee engagement, and creating an exceptional experience for both staff and students.
