REQUIREMENTS

• Strong research and information-gathering skills
• Excellent written communication and summarization ability
• High attention to factual accuracy and detail
• Ability to work objectively within a neutral reporting framework
• Familiarity with evaluating source credibility
• Comfortable researching current events, public figures, policy topics, and media coverage
• Reliable internet access and ability to work independently

Preferred

• Experience in journalism, research, writing, political science, communications, or related fields
• Familiarity with news sourcing standards and citation practices
• Experience organizing information for presentations, scripts, or media production
• Ability to quickly synthesize large amounts of information into concise summaries

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research assigned news topics, events, public statements, and related developments
• Gather a broad variety of relevant sources, quotations, and supporting information
• Identify and organize primary and secondary source material
• Prepare concise executive summaries that connect the sourced information into a clear story framework
• Distinguish factual claims, opinions, allegations, and interpretations appropriately
• Ensure sourcing diversity and avoid unnecessary editorial framing
• Assist with fact verification and consistency checks
• Collaborate with presentation and scripting personnel as needed
• Maintain organized research records and citation references
