Payroll Entry Specialist
Job Description
- Required: High school diploma
- Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, or related field
Experience
- Required:
- Two years of previous experience in data entry or equivalent experience in a related field
- Payroll processing experience with a payroll vendor
- Experience with payroll vendor platforms (e.g., Paylocity, ADP, Paychex, Gusto, QuickBooks) and integrations
Technical Skills
- Required:
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with proficient Excel knowledge
- Experience with 10-key
Compliance & Security
- Demonstrated understanding of data security protocols and compliance requirements for handling sensitive payroll and client information
RESPONSIBILITIES
- · Enter payroll data in appropriate fields using our web-based platform, Excel templates, and files
- · Transfer data from written records (spreadsheets, PDFs) and paper formats via email and online payroll systems
- · Handle numerical data accurately and efficiently
- · Utilize payroll vendor systems and integrations as part of daily workflow
- · Apply advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data validation) to manage and analyze payroll data
- · Comply with information security policies and procedures for handling sensitive information, including secure data transmission and storage
- · Summarize and compile data for standardized reports
- · View and verify confidential or private customer/client information
- · Verify data by correctly checking and comparing source documentation
- · Handle and respond to a large volume of email/client correspondence
