REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Friendly, positive, and patient personality
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Comfortable learning new technology and software
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet home workspace
  • Ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team member
  • High attention to detail
  • Professional phone etiquette

Preferred

  • Previous medical, dental, or optometry office experience preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus
  • Insurance verification experience is a plus
  • Customer service or call center experience is welcomed

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
  • Respond to patient text messages and emails
  • Verify vision and medical insurance benefits and print quote sheets
  • Enter and update patient information accurately
  • Communicate with providers and office staff regarding patient needs
  • Assist with recalls, reminders, and outbound calls
  • Help maintain an organized schedule for multiple providers
  • Provide outstanding customer service with every interaction
