REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Friendly, positive, and patient personality
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
- Comfortable learning new technology and software
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet home workspace
- Ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team member
- High attention to detail
- Professional phone etiquette
Preferred
- Previous medical, dental, or optometry office experience preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus
- Insurance verification experience is a plus
- Customer service or call center experience is welcomed
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
- Respond to patient text messages and emails
- Verify vision and medical insurance benefits and print quote sheets
- Enter and update patient information accurately
- Communicate with providers and office staff regarding patient needs
- Assist with recalls, reminders, and outbound calls
- Help maintain an organized schedule for multiple providers
- Provide outstanding customer service with every interaction
