On-Call Coordinator
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable handling calls independently and making judgment calls
- Competent with computers, smartphones, apps, and internet-based systems — you’ll be navigating our scheduling/documentation software and communicating via phone and text throughout each shift
- Reliable access to a phone, computer/tablet, and internet during on-call hours
- Prior experience in home care, healthcare, or customer service preferred
- Familiarity with scheduling software a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer and respond to phone calls and text messages during on-call hours
- Resolve caregiver and client issues as they arise (shift coverage, schedule changes, urgent concerns)
- Document all calls and outcomes in our scheduling/documentation system
- Escalate urgent or unresolved issues to management as needed
- Maintain a professional, calm demeanor during after-hours contact
