Ocean Freight Compliance Consultant 

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

Must meet FMC requirements to serve as a Qualified Individual.

Experience with Ocean Freight Forwarder and/or NVOCC operations.

Strong knowledge of FMC regulations and the Shipping Act.

Experience obtaining or maintaining FMC licensing preferred.

Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the company’s designated FMC Qualified Individual (QI).

Guide the Ocean Freight Forwarder and NVOCC licensing process.

Develop and maintain FMC compliance policies and procedures.

Advise executive leadership on FMC regulations and compliance.

Review shipping operations and documentation for regulatory compliance.

Assist with FMC filings, audits, and regulatory correspondence.

Help establish a scalable compliance program as the company grows.
