Lead Pipeline Engineer

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong expertise in pipeline engineering and fluid mechanics
• Knowledge of design software (e.g., AutoCAD, CAESAR II, PDMS)
• Leadership and project management skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Familiarity with safety standards and environmental regulations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering
• Typically 8–15+ years of relevant experience in pipeline projects
• Professional certifications (optional but valuable)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the design and engineering of pipeline systems (onshore/offshore)
• Develop routing, layout, and alignment of pipelines
• Perform hydraulic calculations, stress analysis, and material selection
• Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API)
• Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and reports
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, mechanical, environmental)
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning activities
• Identify project risks and provide engineering solutions
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and design teams
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities
