- Degree in Agricultural Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Agricultural Engineer Certificate is required.
- Strong communication and good customer service skills.
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Provide a high level of customer service at all times both internally and externally, by being knowledgeable about product categories and assisting customers professionally.
- Assist and advise customers on product selections to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.
- Operate the point of sales system as required, maintaining high accuracy in transactions and cash handling procedures.
- Actively learn and understand the product range, advising customers on suitable products to meet their needs, thereby increasing revenue through add-on sales.
- Utilize horticultural expertise to maintain the Garden section and educate customers and team members about related products.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and displaying goods per approved procedures to ensure product availability for customers.
- Ensure compliance with instore pricing and ticketing procedures to inform customers correctly and protect the store from pricing errors.
- Apply merchandising principles to maintain a corporate image and ensure the store is well-presented, clean, and tidy.
- Initiate and oversee cleaning programs for assigned departments.
- Assist with other tasks as needed, including stock takes, new store openings, product launches, and seasonal promotions.
