Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • 2–3 years of experience in Technical Submittals for Metal Doors and Fire-Rated Doors.
  • Strong knowledge of fire-rated door systems, steel doors, door frames, and architectural hardware.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and door schedules.
  • Experience in preparing material submittals, technical compliance sheets, and consultant approval documents.
  • Familiarity with Civil Defense approval requirements and fire-rated door certifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.

RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Prepare and submit technical submittals, material approval requests (MAR), and compliance statements in accordance with project specifications.
  • Review contract documents, specifications, door schedules, and consultant requirements.
  • Prepare technical comparison sheets and product compliance reports.
  • Coordinate with consultants and clients to obtain approvals and address technical comments.
  • Follow up on submittal approvals and maintain submission logs and records.
  • Coordinate with drafting teams for preparation and submission of shop drawings.
  • Review shop drawings to ensure compliance with approved specifications and project requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain product data sheets, certifications, test reports, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Civil Defense requirements and fire-rated door standards.
  • Maintain records of fire test certificates, approvals, and product certifications.
  • Assist in preparing Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals and project close-out documentation.
  • Coordinate with estimation, production, procurement, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Attend technical meetings with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders when required.
