Junior AI Engineer

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• 2-4 years of software engineering experience shipping production systems
• Proven experience building and maintaining backend services and APIs
• Proficiency with third-party API integrations, webhooks, and authentication patterns
• Strong automated testing skills and commitment to engineering best practices
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work primarily in Americas time zones

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and build backend and platform features including APIs, services, integrations, and data flows
• Own scoped projects end-to-end from requirements clarification to implementation and rollout
• Write comprehensive automated tests, including unit tests for logic and integration tests for system behavior
• Debug production issues using logs, metrics, and traces to drive resolutions and prevent recurrence
• Improve system reliability and maintainability through refactors and performance improvements
• Communicate technical progress, tradeoffs, and risks clearly to cross-functional partners
