AI Agent Engineer

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years of professional software engineering in Python (async, typing, packaging, and performance)
• 1+ years of experience building LLM or agentic systems, including tool use, function calling, and orchestration
• Strong Postgres experience including schema design, query optimization, and pgvector
• Proven experience shipping and operating production services with a focus on CI/CD and observability
• 6+ months of experience using Claude Code in a development workflow
• Proficiency in Git-based workflows and automated software testing (unit, integration, and functional)
• Strong problem-solving skills for ambiguous, real-world production challenges

RESPONSIBILTIES

• Implement agent logic, tools, and orchestration against established architecture
• Build and tune RAG pipelines including ingestion, embeddings, retrieval, re-ranking, and evaluation
• Design and optimize Postgres schemas, queries, and vector indexes for production loads
• Build the test-generation and test-execution engine for the AI Code Pipeline
• Integrate AI systems with Git, CI/CD, and internal services
• Develop evaluation harnesses, observability, and guardrails to ensure agents are measurable and safe
• Own the reliability, latency, and cost of the systems you ship
• Write clean, typed, well-tested Python and participate actively in code reviews
