Appraisal Analyst

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work collaboratively – including with peers, management, clients, subordinates, and outside contractors – to achieve departmental and company-wide objectives. Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and meet deadlines in high energy environment
• Extensive knowledge of mortgage industry, including technical knowledge of pricing strategies and models related to mortgages a plus
• Ability to analyze issues and create effective resolutions, while managing multiple projects at one time

RESPONSIBILITES

• Interact with appraisal management companies, individual appraisers, and internal mortgage department staff to facilitate the appraisal from ordering to delivery of the appraisal.
• Monitor the appraisal desk email inbox to ensure all appraisal orders and correspondence to approval vendors and internal customers are placed and resolved in a timely manner.
• Assist with loan transfer requests by borrowers.
• Review reports within appraisal management software to address escalations that could result in extended turn-times, overdue appraisals, non-responsive appraisers, and orders placed on hold or declined.
• Assist with placement and monitoring of revision requests to appraisal vendors.
• Facilitate requested borrower appraisal disputes and assist with potential orders for second appraisal.
• Respond to questions, concerns, and any issues resulting from the review of the appraisal.
