Part-Time Fundraising Data Specialist

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• Hands-on experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge and/or Raiser’s Edge NXT (data entry, import module, queries/exports)
• Strong Excel skills (formulas for matching, merging, and reshaping data sets, creating pivot tables, other data cleanup formulas)
• High attention to detail while being comfortable in upholding strict confidentiality and data security policies while working with sensitive donor data
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate proactively about progress or issues
• Reliable internet access and availability during agreed-upon hours

Nice to Have:

• Experience with other CRM/donor database platforms (DonorPerfect, Bloomerang, Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, Little Green Light)
• Familiarity with Import-o-Matic or similar Raiser’s Edge add-ons
• Background working with independent schools or education-sector nonprofits
• Blackbaud certification(s) (Raiser’s Edge Fundamentals or Professional)
• Experience with data enrichment/append tools (NCOA, deceased record screening, etc.)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean, standardize, and de-duplicate constituent and gift records in Raiser’s Edge / Raiser’s Edge NXT
• Prepare and format data files for bulk import (imports, global changes, batch uploads)
• Review data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness prior to upload
• Identify and flag data integrity issues (duplicate records, missing fields, inconsistent coding)
• Support ad hoc data projects tied to client onboarding, database audits, and system cleanups
• Work closely with Mike to understand each client’s database structure and specific data standards
• Maintain strict confidentiality of donor and school data across multiple client accounts
