Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent education is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably with Indian cuisine, is a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic food safety and hygiene principles.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and stand for extended periods.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Tandoor Chef in preparing and marinating ingredients for tandoori dishes, ensuring consistent flavor profiles.
  • Skillfully manage the loading and unloading of naan, roti, and other bread items into and out of the tandoor oven, maintaining optimal cooking times.
  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness and sanitation of the tandoor station, including the oven, utensils, and surrounding work area, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Prepare and serve various tandoori appetizers and main courses under the guidance of the Tandoor Chef, focusing on presentation and quality.
