Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in US accounting and US payroll
  • Strong understanding of:
  • US GAAP
  • Payroll compliance and tax regulations
  • Proven experience in handling end-to-end processes independently

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. End-to-End US Accounting

  • Manage full-cycle accounting including:
  • Bookkeeping (AP, AR, bank & credit card reconciliations)
  • General ledger maintenance
  • Month-end and year-end closing
  • Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Ensure books are accurate, clean, and audit-ready
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve them proactively

2. US Payroll Processing (End-to-End)

  • Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls
  • Handle:
  • Payroll calculations
  • Deductions, benefits, reimbursements
  • Overtime and bonuses
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations
  • Manage payroll tax filings and payments
  • Handle year-end activities including W-2, 1099 processing

3. Compliance & Filings

  • Maintain compliance with US GAAP standards
  • Support tax teams with accurate, tax-ready books
  • Ensure timely payroll tax filings and reporting

4. Tools & Systems

  • Work on accounting software such as:
  • QuickBooks (Online/Desktop)
  • Xero
  • Payroll platforms such as:
  • Gusto, ADP, Paychex,Rippling or similar

5. Client Communication

  • Coordinate with US clients for data, queries, and clarifications
  • Provide regular updates and reports
  • Maintain high-quality communication (written & verbal)
