Social Media Manager
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience managing social media channels, preferably in gaming, entertainment, or tech
Demonstrated ability to create timely, highly engaging content including memes and viral videos
Proficiency with photo and video editing software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut)
Deep understanding of platform algorithms and best practices for major social media platforms
Excellent communication skills for a fully distributed, remote team environment
Strong cultural fluency in French with ability to adapt content for French-speaking communities
Preferred
Experience working across EMEA timezones
Immersion in chess culture and active awareness of social media trends
A sense of humor and ability to align content with internet culture
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage day-to-day operations of our client’s French social media channels across X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
Develop, produce, and publish original, high-quality content that engages new and existing audiences
Monitor and engage with conversations, trends, and key creators within the global chess community
Analyze and report social media performance data and audience insights to inform content strategy
Collaborate with marketing, content, and events teams to execute social media campaigns
Identify emerging platforms and pilot new content formats by anticipating algorithm shifts
