Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least one year of social media, content creation, or video editing experience
  • Strong short-form video editing skills with a portfolio or examples of previous work
  • Experience with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software
  • Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Strong storytelling, writing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow an established brand voice, accept feedback, and work independently
  • Dependable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change
  • Genuine compassion for senior dogs and comfort with content involving veterinary care, illness, death, grief, and humane euthanasia

Preferred

  • Nonprofit, fundraising, animal welfare, or pet-industry experience
  • Experience with Canva, Photoshop, Lightroom, social media analytics, or long-form video editing

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Edit engaging short-form videos for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Turn raw sanctuary footage into content that feels emotional, educational, fun, or donation-driven
  • Add captions, music, voiceovers, sound effects, and transitions when appropriate
  • Help create, schedule, post, and manage social media content
  • Stay current on trends and adapt them to fit our brand and mission
  • Communicate with the social media team and sanctuary staff to better understand each senior’s story
  • Make revisions, meet deadlines, and assist with comments, messages, analytics, graphics, and other social media needs as assigned
