Provider & Patient Support Specialist
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- 1+ years of administrative, healthcare, customer service, or patient-facing experience required
- Behavioral health or private practice administrative experience preferred
- Experience with patient intake, scheduling, insurance verification, or claim submission is a plus
- Comfortable learning healthcare software systems
- Experience with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 preferred
- Comfort using Apple products is helpful, as we are a Mac-based company
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer incoming calls from patients seeking mental health services
- Gather patient information and help connect patients with appropriate providers
- Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars
- Assist with insurance benefit review and communicate relevant information clearly
- Submit claims and help resolve claim-related or administrative issues
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, clients, and team members
- Document information accurately in our systems
- Follow established workflows while identifying opportunities for improvement
- Manage competing priorities in a remote work environment
