Planning Engineer (Infrastructure)

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management from a recognized institution
• 5+ years of experience working on infrastructure, utilities, and landscaping projects
• Excellent understanding of the construction industry, including interface and coordination requirements
• Thorough knowledge of industry best practices and regulations
• Strong communication skills with the ability to conduct presentations and interface with diverse professionals

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review the Contractor’s Baseline schedule of works according to Contract conditions and company recommended practices
• Develop a Master Schedule that integrates multiple packages while considering interdependencies
• Ensure project resources are compatible for timely project completion
• Evaluate and verify planning and scheduling information to identify potential areas of delay or slippage
• Suggest mitigation measures and corrective actions to address program issues
• Prepare regular progress reports and monthly reports with program analysis and recommendations
• Coordinate with the contractor and employer to resolve planning and scheduling problems
• Attend meetings and prepare concise and precise meeting minutes
• Prepare trackers and logs to monitor critical issues during the Design and Construction stages
• Provide reasoned and analytic responses to contractor notices and maintain proper project records
• Issue delay notices for contractor culpable delay and slow performance
