Licensed Road Contracting Engineer
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid RTA Approval / License in Dubai – Mandatory
- Minimum 2 years of relevant Road Engineering experience in Dubai.
- Strong knowledge of RTA standards, procedures, permits, and NOC requirements.
- Experience in road works, infrastructure, and ROW activities.
- Knowledge of Traffic Management Plans and road diversion requirements.
- Ability to coordinate directly with RTA and other government authorities.
- Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
- UAE/Dubai driving license is an advantage.
RESPONSIBILITES
RTA Approvals & Permits
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on RTA permits, NOCs, and approvals.
- Handle ROW permits, construction NOCs, access permits, trial pit requests, and temporary road closure approvals.
- Prepare and submit drawings and technical documents as required by RTA.
- Represent the company during RTA inspections and technical meetings.
- Prepare Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and traffic diversion schemes.
- Ensure proper implementation of RTA requirements for signage, barriers, pedestrian access, and traffic safety.
Road Works & Site Supervision
- Plan, supervise, and execute road construction and infrastructure works.
- Oversee road resurfacing, pavement, interlock, kerbs, sidewalks, drainage, and related ROW works.
- Review drawings, method statements, material submissions, and technical documents.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all works comply with RTA and Dubai Municipality standards.
- Prepare inspection requests, checklists, test reports, and as-built documentation.
- Coordinate inspections, approvals, and completion certificates.
- Identify and resolve technical and quality issues on site.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with RTA, Dubai Municipality, DEWA, consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
- Follow up on technical submissions, approvals, and project requirements.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports.
- Provide technical guidance to site teams.
- Report project activities and progress.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements throughout road works.
- Implement RTA-approved safety measures, barriers, warning signs, and traffic controls.
- Maintain safe pedestrian and vehicular movement around work areas.
- Ensure site activities are carried out safely and in accordance with approved traffic management plans.
