REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2 years of insurance verification experience in the medical field
- Obsessive focus on patient-experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs pre-certification and obtains authorizations and referrals as required by payor guidelines and in accordance with our client’s procedures
- Verifying all information on authorization requests are accurate and received/process by insurance companies accordingly
- Gathers medical documentation to support the patients’ treatments for further review
- Manages treatment schedule to ensure patients’ authorizations will be completed timely and treatments will remain undisrupted
- Reviews and approves assigned orders utilizing department guidelines
