Patient Care Coordinator/Receptionist
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 23 years of healthcare scheduling experience REQUIRED
- Experience scheduling for multiple providers REQUIRED
- Experience in psychiatry, therapy, behavioral health, or medical practices preferred
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments for 20+ therapists and providers
- Manage provider calendars and maintain schedule accuracy
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Monitor and respond to emails promptly and professionally
- Collect copays, outstanding balances, and payment information
- Contact patients regarding overdue balances
- Draft and send patient letters and documentation requests
- Process appointment cancellations and rescheduling requests
- Coordinate patient care and provider availability
- Confirmation calls
