Part time carpentry estimator

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience estimating finish carpentry, millwork, or cabinetry projects
• Ability to read blueprints accurately
• Understanding of construction materials and labor production
• Experience with Excel, takeoff software, or estimating software preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and reliability

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
• Review plans specifically for:
• Millwork
• Cabinetry
• Doors
• Windows
• Prepare material takeoffs and labor estimates
• Create accurate and competitive bids
• Communicate clearly regarding project scope and missing details
• Help ensure projects are priced correctly to get the job completed successfully and on budget
• Submit estimates in a timely manner
