Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive professional experience in managing complex projects
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering projects against milestones and budgets
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors
  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, environmental science, or a related discipline
  • Professional certification in project or programme management (PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
  • Arabic language proficiency is highly desirable
  • Sufficient understanding of fisheries, marine conservation, or sustainable seafood systems

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Lead the day-to-day management and coordinated delivery of the sustainable fisheries programme
  • Translate programme objectives into detailed implementation plans, workplans, and budgets
  • Manage dependencies, critical paths, and resource requirements across project activities
  • Coordinate activities across internal teams, technical specialists, consultants, and external partners
  • Manage project budgets, expenditure, and financial forecasts
  • Establish and maintain a project risk and issue register
  • Monitor progress against programme objectives and KPIs
  • Manage relationships with key programme stakeholders and partners
  • Coordinate engagement with government entities, academic institutions, and fishing communities
