Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive professional experience in managing complex projects
- Demonstrated track record of delivering projects against milestones and budgets
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, environmental science, or a related discipline
- Professional certification in project or programme management (PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
- Arabic language proficiency is highly desirable
- Sufficient understanding of fisheries, marine conservation, or sustainable seafood systems
RESPONSIBILITES
- Lead the day-to-day management and coordinated delivery of the sustainable fisheries programme
- Translate programme objectives into detailed implementation plans, workplans, and budgets
- Manage dependencies, critical paths, and resource requirements across project activities
- Coordinate activities across internal teams, technical specialists, consultants, and external partners
- Manage project budgets, expenditure, and financial forecasts
- Establish and maintain a project risk and issue register
- Monitor progress against programme objectives and KPIs
- Manage relationships with key programme stakeholders and partners
- Coordinate engagement with government entities, academic institutions, and fishing communities
