Human Resources Assistant
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
Strong knowledge of human capital management principles and best practices in HR sourcing, talent management, and workforce planning
Familiarity with employment and labor law regulations to ensure organizational compliance
Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels and external partners
Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, UltiPro, Kronos, or Ceridian for data management and reporting
Ability to adapt to change management initiatives and support organizational design efforts
Competence in training & development programs, employee orientation, performance management, and succession planning strategies
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with talent acquisition efforts by supporting recruiting activities, including screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and maintaining applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Workday, Oracle HCM, or iCIMS
Coordinate employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure new hires are welcomed and integrated effectively into the organization
Support employee evaluation processes by gathering data, preparing documentation, and assisting with performance management initiatives
Manage benefits administration tasks, including data entry for payroll systems like ADP, Paychex, or Paylocity, and supporting open enrollment periods
Maintain accurate HR records through data collection and entry in HRIS platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors or PeopleSoft
Assist with employee relations activities by addressing inquiries, supporting conflict management efforts, and promoting positive communication across teams
Contribute to compliance initiatives related to employment law, OSHA standards, workers’ compensation claims, and affirmative action planning
