Head of Platform Engineering

REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive platform engineering experience with deep expertise in AWS/GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, and monitoring systems
• Proven track record building highly available, low-latency systems in crypto or CEX trading environments
• Demonstrated ability to craft and execute long-term infrastructure strategies that reduce technical debt and enable scalable growth
• Experience mentoring and scaling high-performing DevOps teams in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments
• Strong ownership mindset with ability to identify gaps independently and drive improvements with urgency

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own platform strategy and infrastructure roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enabling engineering team productivity
• Lead and mentor a lean DevOps team while remaining hands-on as a staff/principal engineer, writing code and designing robust architectures
• Maintain exceptional uptime for critical systems including APIs and databases, with rapid incident detection and resolution via Prometheus and Datadog
• Implement zero-trust security models and ensure SOC 2 and GDPR compliance across all infrastructure
• Optimize deployment pipelines for frequent, reliable releases and build self-service tools that accelerate developer velocity
• Partner with engineering leads to drive innovation, eliminate bottlenecks, and deliver measurable business value
