REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in freight brokerage or logistics sales within a transportation or logistics company environment.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management, transportation management systems (TMS), and shipping logistics processes.
• Familiarity with NVOCC operations, freight forwarding logistics, and international trade regulations.
• Demonstrated success in B2B sales, account management, and client relationship management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for data entry, reporting, and communication purposes.
• Excellent negotiation skills combined with customer service orientation to build long-term client partnerships.
• Experience with dispatching procedures, carrier sales strategies, pricing negotiations, and contract management.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations (if applicable), trade compliance standards, and transportation planning best practices.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors to facilitate efficient freight movements.
• Coordinate transportation planning, including scheduling shipments via air freight, ocean freight (NVOCC), and ground logistics.
• Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI, and AS400 platforms to manage data entry, dispatching, and shipment tracking.
• Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms with carriers and clients to optimize pricing strategies and maximize profitability.
• Generate leads through proactive outreach, inside sales efforts, and trade compliance research to grow the client base.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, FDA regulations (if applicable), and trade documentation requirements.
• Manage customer service inquiries, provide timely updates on shipment status, and resolve issues related to shipping logistics or delays.
• Support freight forwarding logistics operations by coordinating shipments across multiple modes including air freight and 3PL (third-party logistics) providers.
