Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience building and deploying production-grade systems
• 2-3 years of experience building Generative AI or agentic applications
• Strong software engineering, data engineering, and applied AI/ML skills
• Experience with foundation models, context engineering, fine-tuning, RAG, and agentic workflows
• Deep understanding of LLMOps/MLOps practices including evaluation and observability
• Ability to design scalable AI architectures aligned with enterprise security and governance
• Strong communication skills to engage with both technical and executive audiences

Preferred

• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience using the Cloudera platform
• Experience with open source big data technologies like Spark, Iceberg, or NiFi
• Experience with AI infrastructure, NVIDIA GPUs, or distributed AI workloads

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and prototype full-stack AI applications and agentic systems to solve enterprise use cases
• Partner with strategic customers to drive AI use cases from prototype to production readiness
• Advise customer leaders on AI roadmaps, prioritization, and deployment strategies
• Codify successful solution patterns into repeatable reference architectures and playbooks
• Mentor Cloudera teams and channel customer feedback to Product teams to improve the AI platform
