DATA ENTRY SPECIALIST
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
One year’s certificate from college or technical school; or 1-2 years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurate data entry of new patient information into billing software by following established guidelines.
- Timely data entry of new patient information into billing software.
- Discrepancies are researched thoroughly and corrected to ensure Healix’s policies and procedures are followed.
- Produces paper and/or electronic charts for all new patients.
- Eligibility and Benefit verification on assigned patients via online resources.
- Assists in correcting patient information as reported from EDI rejection reports.
- Other support duties as assigned.
