Medical Data Entry Specialist
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of health insurance processes.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining confidentiality and strong organizational skills.
- Intermediate computer and data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-starter who is motivated and able to follow instructions independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in hospital access, physician offices, or billing and collections.
- Experience with Athena Health EMR preferred.
- Prior experience in medical billing or revenue cycle operations is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and enter clean claims for each specialty across Agape Family Health.
- Ensure workflows are followed as directed for claim submission and communicate any outstanding issues to management.
- Clear basic claim holds that appear during the claim creation process.
- Verify that the correct insurance packages are attached to claims prior to submission.
- Review incoming correspondence and log information appropriately.
- Maintain accurate and organized billing documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
