Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation within a corporate or government setting.
- Strong knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), UCC law, and compliance management practices.
- Skilled in legal drafting, document review, and records management to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Proficiency with contract management software such as Salesforce, DocuSign, PeopleSoft, or ERP systems; experience with research tools is a plus.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to develop strategic plans for business growth through effective contracting strategies.
- Familiarity with technical writing for proposal development and pricing strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the end-to-end contract acquisition process, including researching potential vendors, preparing proposals, and conducting negotiations to secure favorable terms.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure service quality, compliance with contractual obligations, and ongoing performance improvements.
- Review, draft, and edit contracts using legal drafting skills to ensure clarity, enforceability, and alignment with organizational policies.
- Maintain meticulous records of all contract documents using document management systems such as Salesforce, DocuSign, PeopleSoft, or ERP platforms.
- Ensure all contracts adhere to applicable regulations including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), and other relevant compliance standards.
- Collaborate with legal teams to review contractual terms related to intellectual property law, change management, and contractor management.
- Support business development initiatives by preparing proposals, conducting pricing analysis, and strategizing on contract opportunities that align with organizational goals.
