REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in curriculum development, tutoring, or teaching in an online environment.
• Strong knowledge of learning technology tools used for remote instruction and student engagement.
• Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and varying academic needs.
• Familiarity with science tutoring, mathematics tutoring, English language arts instruction, and special education practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and empathetically.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching strategies based on individual learning styles and needs.
• Background in working with children or young adults in educational settings such as classrooms or early childhood programs.
• Strong writing skills for guiding essay development and application narratives.
• Ability to manage virtual sessions effectively while maintaining a positive and motivating atmosphere.
• Experience with lesson planning, classroom management (virtual or physical), and working with students from different backgrounds.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Offer one-on-one virtual advising sessions to assist students in developing strong college application strategies.
• Guide students through the entire application process, including essay writing, resume building, and interview preparation.
• Provide tailored feedback on personal statements, essays, and application materials to enhance clarity, impact, and authenticity.
• Support students in understanding admission requirements, deadlines, and selection criteria for diverse institutions.
• Utilize learning technology platforms to deliver engaging online instruction and interactive learning experiences.
• Adapt instructional methods to accommodate various learning styles and diverse cultural backgrounds for maximum student engagement.
• Stay informed about current trends in college admissions, standardized testing (such as SAT preparation), and scholarship opportunities.
