Bookkeeping Specialist
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced QuickBooks Online skills and strong bookkeeping/accounting skills
- Previous work experience in public accounting or an outsourced bookkeeping services firm
- Prior experience onboarding new clients and executing successful clean-ups (including balance sheet accounts)
- Knowledge of sales tax/nexus
- Experience using third-party applications that integrate with QBO (Double, Melio, Bill, Dext, Hubdoc)
- Expertise with Google Workspace and its tools, and knowledge of Microsoft products
Nice-to-Haves:
- Working knowledge of ClickUp or Notion
- Bookkeeping experience in the construction industry
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a technical resource, identifying and implementing opportunities to improve client workflows and processes.
- Perform assessments for prospective clients; analyze potential clients’ accounting and financial data to determine the scope of work; set up or clean up the books; and apply technology to maximize efficiency.
- Successfully onboard new clients, oversee the handoff to our ongoing bookkeeping team, and support ongoing clients as requested to ensure that all clients’ needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Deliver complete, accurate, and timely bookkeeping services, along with superior customer service.
