Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in senior financial management roles within complex organizations or non-profit sectors.
  • Extensive knowledge of corporate finance principles, including fiscal management, cost accounting, supply chain finance, and tax accounting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing financial software systems and advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as GAAP, IFRS, IAS, SOX requirements, and ASC 606 standards.
  • Experience supervising teams in accounting functions such as payroll management, technical accounting, cost management, and financial report writing.
  • Skilled in negotiation, business development strategies, and stakeholder engagement at senior leadership levels.
  • Ability to lead strategic planning initiatives with a focus on risk management, market analysis, and long-term fiscal sustainability.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capacity to interpret complex financial concepts clearly for diverse audiences.
  • Relevant certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) are preferred but not mandatory.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer in developing and implementing comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee corporate accounting functions, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and ASC 606 standards for revenue recognition.
  • Lead risk analysis efforts, including SOX compliance (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), COSO framework implementation, and risk mitigation strategies across all financial operations.
  • Manage treasury activities such as cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and banking relationships to optimize financial resources.
  • Supervise financial reporting processes, including preparation of accurate financial statements, regulatory reports, and management reports for senior leadership and board review.
  • Oversee budgeting, expense management, cost control initiatives, and financial forecasting to support strategic planning and operational efficiency.
  • Drive revenue management strategies, including revenue cycle management and analysis of profit & loss statements to maximize profitability.
  • Support mergers & acquisitions activities through due diligence, valuation analysis, integration planning, and negotiation support.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards for non-profit organizations when applicable.
  • Lead business analysis efforts by interpreting financial data to inform decision-making, identify opportunities for growth, and mitigate risks.
