REQUIREMENTS

• Experience: 3–5 years in accounting, at least 2 in the UAE, with hands-on month-end close experience
• Regulatory knowledge: Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements and WPS payroll
• Tools: Proficient in a cloud accounting system (Xero, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar) and advanced Excel
• Discipline: Accurate, organised, and comfortable working to a close calendar
• Qualification: ACCA/CA/CMA part-qualified or qualified

RESPONSIBILITES

• Books and close: Maintain the general ledger and run month-end and year-end close: accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, intercompany, and reconciliations of every balance-sheet account.
• Payables and receivables: Process vendor invoices and payments with correct approvals; issue merchant invoices and follow up receivables; reconcile bank accounts weekly.
• Statutory compliance: Prepare UAE VAT returns and support Corporate Tax filings; maintain documentation to the standard an auditor expects.
• Management reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis against budget, and cash reports for the CFO.
• Payroll and expenses: Process payroll entries and WPS files with People & Culture; run the expense claims cycle.
• Audit and controls: Own the audit file, respond to auditor queries, and maintain the controls register.
