Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong foundation in accounting principles, including experience with general ledger management, financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling).
• Knowledge of UAE financial regulations, tax/VAT requirements, and compliance standards relevant to the banking and mortgage sector.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is an advantage.
• Previous experience in financial services, banking, or mortgage brokerage is preferred but not mandatory.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, preparing general ledgers, and reconciling bank and account balances.
• Peparing financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
• Monitor cash flow, track expenses and revenues, and maintain compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
• Preparing reports for management, supporting audits, coordinating with banks and external partners, and contributing to process improvements in the finance function.
