REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrated experience as a Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper with a strong background in accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar software.
• Extensive knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Proven ability to handle complex account analysis including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliation processes.
• Familiarity with public accounting practices and governmental/non-profit accounting standards is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts including payroll processing, tax experience, budgeting, and technical accounting procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently while managing multiple tasks accurately.
• Prior experience working with financial report writing and account analysis in diverse organizational settings is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing using leading financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken.
• Perform general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Prepare and review journal entries, account analysis, and bank reconciliations with meticulous attention to detail.
• Conduct account reconciliation for various ledgers, including governmental and non-profit accounting frameworks.
• Support budgeting activities by analyzing financial data and assisting in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all transactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Assist with tax preparation and ensure timely submission of tax documentation by maintaining accurate financial records.
