Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a radiology, imaging, or diagnostic environment (hospital radiology department, imaging center, teleradiology, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with radiology workflow concepts: worklist management, exam prioritization (STAT/Urgent/Routine), PACS systems, and HIPAA-compliant documentation
  • Ability to read, interpret, and act on medical documentation and radiology-specific terminology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple clinical and operational systems
  • Reliable high-speed internet and VoIP phone experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Ability to pass a federal background check

Strongly Preferred

  • ARRT credential or active RT licensure
  • Experience with PACS platforms (InteleOrchestrator, Sectra, PowerScribe, or equivalent)
  • Teleradiology or multi-facility imaging environment experience
  • Military medical background (68W, 68P, or equivalent) with imaging exposure
  • Federal healthcare environment experience (VA, IHS, DoD)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Worklist Management and Workflow Coordination:
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and properly filtered Radiology Worklist
  • Monitor radiologist availability and route exams appropriately
  • Prioritize exams (STAT, Urgent, Routine) based on patient condition, location, and clinical history
  • Upgrade exam priorities when necessary and ensure proper documentation
  • Pull, track, and prepare prior studies for comparison
  • Use tools to manage exam status, reset clocks, and force workflow changes when needed
  • Case Review and Documentation
  • Confirm that radiology results are properly communicated and reviewed
  • Document all communications with full detail, including time, contact name, and purpose
  • Ensure ultrasound technologist notes are included when applicable
  • Maintain strict HIPAA compliance in all documentation and communication
  • Communication and Call Management
  • Relay findings to providers
  • Initiate and manage conference calls between radiologists and providers
  • Handle callbacks, forward calls, and manage VoIP contact lists
  • Document verbal notifications using standardized templates
  • Update the Master Addendum Tracker (MAT) accurately and in real time
  • Administrative and Technical Tasks
  • Perform manual study validations in InteleBrowser
  • Merge, override, or correct exams as needed to ensure data accuracy
  • Communicate operational status, critical incidents, scheduled tasks, and staffing notes
