Early Start Intake Coordinator
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience working within the Early Start system required
- Previous experience as an Intake Coordinator required
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based systems
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Child Development or a related field
- Experience working with Regional Centers, early intervention programs, or developmental services
- Knowledge of Early Start eligibility and referral processes
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive and process new Early Start referrals
- Conduct intake calls with families and gather required information
- Coordinate communication between families, providers, service coordinators, and Regional Centers
- Review referral documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Maintain accurate electronic records and databases
- Track referrals from intake through service initiation
- Follow up on missing documentation and outstanding items
- Assist with scheduling and provider assignment as needed
- Respond to inquiries from families and referral sources in a professional and timely manner
- Ensure compliance with company policies and Regional Center requirements
