Education Specialist/Therapist

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

– Must have a Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
– Experience being a tutor, teacher, or learning specialist.

– Training in multi-sensory programs like Lindamood-Bell, Orton-Gillingham, Making Math Real, etc. a plus, but not needed (will offer training)

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Help develop and implement individualized education plans for students.

-Follow goals that are written out for each student. Help write goals.

– Prepare lessons and take session notes
– Provide reading, writing, math, and/or executive functioning intervention (you can pick the areas you specialize in and we will match you with those students)
– Serve as a mentor to students, offering guidance and support in both academic and social-emotional areas.

– Ability to effectively plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to different learning styles.
