Sr. US Accounts Analyst
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years of experience in US accounting and US payroll
- Strong understanding of:
- US GAAP
- Payroll compliance and tax regulations
- Proven experience in handling end-to-end processes independently
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. End-to-End US Accounting
- Manage full-cycle accounting including:
- Bookkeeping (AP, AR, bank & credit card reconciliations)
- General ledger maintenance
- Month-end and year-end closing
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Ensure books are accurate, clean, and audit-ready
- Identify discrepancies and resolve them proactively
2. US Payroll Processing (End-to-End)
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls
- Handle:
- Payroll calculations
- Deductions, benefits, reimbursements
- Overtime and bonuses
- Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations
- Manage payroll tax filings and payments
- Handle year-end activities including W-2, 1099 processing
3. Compliance & Filings
- Maintain compliance with US GAAP standards
- Support tax teams with accurate, tax-ready books
- Ensure timely payroll tax filings and reporting
4. Tools & Systems
- Work on accounting software such as:
- QuickBooks (Online/Desktop)
- Xero
- Payroll platforms such as:
- Gusto, ADP, Paychex,Rippling or similar
5. Client Communication
- Coordinate with US clients for data, queries, and clarifications
- Provide regular updates and reports
- Maintain high-quality communication (written & verbal)
